Bipolar depression (formerly known as manic depression)
Pharmacy Services to Bradford District Care Trust are provided by the Pharmacy Departments of the local Acute Hospital Trusts (Bradford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Airedale NHS Foundation Trust)
On behalf of the Care Trust these departments aim to proactively support staff, service users and carers in achieving safe and effective medicines management, optimising the use of medicines by providing a high quality and friendly service.
This is done by providing:
Accurate and independent information and education about medicines to other healthcare professionals, service users and carers
Clinical and dispensing activities to facilitate the management of medicines by service users within inpatient and community teams
Support to ensure that medicines management resources are used cost effectively within Bradford District Care Trust.
We have an in house pharmacy with specialist pharmacists based at Lynfield Mount Hospital covering the Bradford area whilst the Keighley area is covered by staff based within Airedale NHS Foundation Trust
