The Humber NHS Foundation Trust Pharmacy Department provides medicines management service that covers the entire process that medicines are prescribed, procured, delivered, selected, administered and reviewed. The overall objective of the Pharmacy Department is to optimise the use of medicines by providing comprehensive, high quality, evidence-based medicines management service that proactively supports positive health outcomes for our patients.
Medicines management service is provided by a team of specialist pharmacists and technicians. The service can be broadly divided into clinical service, technical service and medicines information service. These services dovetail effectively to ensure that patients receive optimal drug treatment that is not only safe but also cost and clinically effective.
