The Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust Pharmacy Service advises on and supports the safe and appropriate use of medicines within the trust. We do this by providing:
-
Accurate and independent information and education about medicines to service users and carers
-
Information and education to Trust staff and other professionals
-
Clinical activities to help ensure the optimum use of medicines
-
Medicine management to ensure the most cost-effective use is made of resources
Complimenting our clinical activities our main hospital sites have dedicated on-site Lloyds pharmacies which supply and dispense medication for inpatients as well as service users who are being cared for by our community teams. An extended hours service in the evenings and at weekends is provided from designated Lloyds community pharmacies. This has enabled us to improve access to medicines.
