The Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust Pharmacy Service exists to proactively support staff, service users and carers in achieving safe and effective medicines management, optimising the use of medicines by providing a high quality and friendly service.

We do this by providing:

  • Accurate and independent information and education about medicines to other healthcare professionals, service users and carers
  • Clinical and dispensing activities to facilitate the management of medicines by service users within inpatient and community teams
  • Support to ensure that medicines management resources are used cost-effectively within the Trust

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust provides specialist mental health and prison pharmacy services via various providers depending on location including in house pharmacies, arrangements with acute trusts and the private sector, including community pharmacies.

Pharmacy Contact Details:

General opening hours are Monday to Friday – 9am to 5pm (this may vary between sites)
Lloyds Pharmacy (Manchester site) is open for clozapine advice Monday to Friday – 9am to 6pm and Saturday – 9am to 1pm (except bank holidays). Tel: 0161 795 1584
Staff across the Trust have access to on-call pharmacy services outside of these hours according to local procedures.
