Our Pharmacy service

The South London and Maudsley Pharmacy Service aims to help staff, service users and carers make the best use of medicines.

Our Maudsley Medicines Information Centre is also the National Centre for Information on Psychotropics. The director of pharmacy, Professor David Taylor, is the author of the Maudsley Prescribing Guidelines, now in its 14th Edition, which provides expert guidance on prescribing practice in mental health. We are the world’s leading pharmacy department for research into medicines in psychiatry and have published over 300 clinical papers in the past 25 years.
