It’s the kind voice at the end of the phone when you’re worried about rent and too unwell to work. It’s the advisor who listens actively, rather than waiting for their turn to speak. It’s the therapist who talks through what’s happened to you, not what’s ‘wrong’ with you.
Mind’s experts are the heart of human care for mental health, treating people as individuals, not statistics and seeing a person, where others might just see a patient. They know their communities, know their needs and go the extra mile to deliver quality care, when people need it most.

#WHXDubai reflections have brought many international links but I am reminded there is still work to do in 
with our NHS
Fit for the Future defines 3 big shifts - where our systems can support staff and patients for example:
Texting url link to allow people to access vital information about their medicines in their own home - in a way to
best meet their Health Literacy needs. QR code access for patients, portals in Community Pharmacies, GP surgeries, Hospital waiting area’s to support workflow efficiency and enable patient centred conversations. Intervening early for “Preventable” medicines relates A&E hospital admissions by patients knowing what to “look out for” and “what to do”.

A North East England-based digital health innovator is set to take its health literacy technology to the international stage as it heads to WHX Dubai, aiming to build new partnerships across the Middle East and North Africa.
Mistura Informatics Ltd, which employs former NHS pharmacists, has developed What’s My Drug? - a subscription-based web application designed to give patients fast access to clear, simplified and trustworthy medicines information via their smartphone.

#MedSafetyWeek is a social media campaign that takes place annually usually in November and each year there is a different focus or theme to encourage the reporting of suspected side effects.
This year will be the tenth annual #MedSafetyWeek social media campaign and it will take place on 3 to 9 November 2025. The theme will be ‘we can all help make medicines safer’. MHRA is partnering with organisations globally alongside the Uppsala Monitoring Centre. Please do get involved on social media and help raise awareness locally using the materials below and you can also extra materials available under our resources page.
